March Wrap-Up

This month I managed to get my bank account back above zero. This is a relief for many reasons, the best of which is that I can now buy books again!

I have also attempted, inspired by Brene Brown, to be a person with boundaries. So far it’s involved asking a person not to be mean to me.

She said no.

I will keep working on it.

In reading news, this month I reviewed:

Brave Enough – Cheryl Strayed

Feelings: A good little guide to life. A pep talk before a difficult day. Useful to have around.

Code Name Verity – Elizabeth Wein

Feelings: The first three quarters of this book are great.

Suicide Notes From Beautiful Girls – Lynn Weingarten

Feelings: Urgh.

To Kill A Mockingbird – Harper Lee

Feelings: This book is EVERYTHING.

The Graveyard Book – Neil Gaiman

Feelings: One of this 23 year old’s favourite YA novels ever.

I also read:

The Princess Diaries #7 – Meg Cabot (reread)

John Dies @ The End – David Wong (reread)

The Art of Asking – Amanda Palmer (reread)

This month’s podcast was Infinite Positivities with Jenna Ushkowitz

Happy April, everyone. I hope nobody pranked you.

      1. I don’t actually post anything. I am too intimidated! I am obsessed with other people’s pictures though. I am an instagram lurker.

And yes. The overwhelming TBR is a blessing really. Although sometimes I get in a panic at the thought that in my whole life I won’t be able to read everything that I want to. As problems go, it’s not the worst, but… Still.

  1. Code Name Verity is AMAZING. That twist though aaaaaaa. *sobs* *hugs you* WHYYY? (and I read this over a year ago.) I first read TKAM for school, but I loved it so much that I have since reread it and despite being for school, it’s one of my favourite books. 🙂
